**** Junior Gardeners are participating in this year’s New Hamburg Fall Fair, with the entries being accepted the day after this event (on Thursday).
Annual Junior Gardeners Awards:
WHS Junior Gardeners will be presented with awards for growing their gardens over the summer. The Creative Gardener Award for all youth who have grown a garden for 5 years will also be presented.
Speaker: Deb Lehman on “Saving the Creatures Photography”
I have been a volunteer wildlife photographer working with conservation efforts in the Waterloo Region for 15+ years, and have been involved locally with the protection of the Laurel Creek Headwaters Environmentally Sensitive Landscape (ESL) in northwest Waterloo. I have also been a photographer for Wildlife Haven Waterloo, ie. using my photography in the creation of yearly fundraising calendars for the rehab center. I have also worked sporadically with some Ontario parks regarding wildlife monitoring, online programs and global ocean conservation as well.
