GARDENERS' SHOW & SHARE
WHS YOUTH COMPETITION
Bring the whole family and friends for an evening of sharing gardening tips, tricks and knowledge with your fellow gardeners.
Featuring: Bugs in the Yard.
Our own Lisa Clifford (RVT) will speak on the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, bugs that affect you and your pets.
Thelma Kessel of Colour Paradise “It’s a Bug eat Bug World”, what is bugging your plants.
Tribute to Gwyn Brundrett a past president, Master Gardener, OHA Silver Medal recipient and more!

- The Annual WHS Youth Competition.
- Seed and Plant Swap – Bring seeds, slips and potted plants to trade or to share.
- Enjoy displays, the Penny Auction and fellowship with friends!
- Bring your curiosity and zest for learning and sharing.
What could you bring??
Members and Non- Members are invited to bring in anything that they are excited about related to gardening! It could be:
- a favourite houseplant
- a horticultural photo (from your yard, a folly, a vacation)
- cut flowers or greens
- an arrangement
- a favourite gadget
- a plant from your yard
- a work of art
Feel free to chat about your item with others or place it on the exhibit table with a label if you would prefer. It is not necessary to bring an item to the Show and Share in order to attend but the more participation there is the better the evening will be!
Marketplace:
Heritage Pet and Garden seeds, beneficial pest control and more!
Lisa Clifford (Manitou Animal Clinic) can answer questions on pests and your pets.
Kitchener Master Gardeners can answer any garden question.
Advanced Compost: local supplier of compost.
Nith River Apiaries: local honey products. Yum!
MCC Thrift Store: fun things for the garden
Pfennings Farms: see them about the things they grow!
Bring the whole family and a pocket full of money! Refreshments: Please bring your mug!

Upcoming Events:
Extra plants in the garden! Remember to split and donate healthy plants to MCC Thrift Store (once the frost is out of the ground!). Pot if you can with name and if bloom, when and what colour. Pass on extra pots.
The last weekend of May is the New Hamburg Quilt Auction and Relief Sale. The plant tent will be looking for donations as well. Both perennials, house plants, summer bulbs, and bedding plants and more.
