Hello Fall!

Ruth Zehr, a long time member, passed away this summer. She was our President, Civic Beautification chair, keeper of the files, historian, author and much more. ( See newsletter for more.)  The last Biography written by Ruth of a current member of WHS had yet to be publicized. It is about Glenn and Mary Ellen Zehr who have played and still do, a large role for WHS. Click HERE to read this lovely article. 
Other Events: 

Sunday, September 22th at 1- 4:00 p.m. Castle Kilbride celebrates 25 glorious years as a community museum.  Tours of the house from 1-2:30 p.m. followed by opening remarks at 3:00 p.m. and a concert on the front lawn by the New Hamburg Concert Band. The environment is a top issue for Canadians and government leadership is critical when dealing with complex environmental challenges like climate change. A non-partisan all-candidates’ debate of Kitchener-Conestoga riding is on Wednesday, October 9th  7:00 to 9:00 p.m. hosted by 100 Debates on the Environment and Nith Valley Ecoboosters. at the New Dundee Community Centre, 1028 Queen Street, New Dundee,
This action is part of a national project where candidates all across Canada will have the opportunity to share their ideas. For more details, click HERE
