Wilmot Horticultural Society volunteers plan, plant and maintain garden beds on municipal property throughout Wilmot Township through the Civic Beautification project. There is a strong, long standing partnership with Wilmot Township, which supports the Society with an annual grant. Every community has gardens that are tended by Wilmot Hort gardeners, who share a love of nature and the environment. They are also not afraid to get their hands dirty!
Congratulations to the Junior Gardeners of 2021
The 5 year participation trophy recipients are, from left to right:
Carleigh Sauder, Rosemary Sauder,
Cole Schwartzentruber, Zach Schwartzentruber.
The Junior members are usually recognized for their gardening efforts at the September meeting of Wilmot Horticulture. This year, the awards were distributed near the pollinator garden at Kirkpatrick park in New Hamburg.
On June 19 2021 volunteers from Let’s Tree Wilmot planted trees in Scott Park and supported trees that were previously planted with mulch and water.
