Junior Gardeners

Calling All Budding or Blooming Gardeners from 6-18!

Junior Gardeners (ages 6-18) have fun digging in the dirt, growing their own gardens, making friends, and winning prizes! You can even earn the rank of Creative Gardener if you have grit and sticktoitiveness …yes that is a word!

If you need additional information or would like to become a Junior Gardener, please use our Contact Page. Please note: you need to sign up for the Junior Gardeners Program at the beginning of May, so the leaders have enough time to buy the seeds.

This year the JGs are planting Nasturtium and Thitonia along with beets and carrots. Not sure what these plants look like, then stay tuned for photos after they bloom.

But first, the Junior Gardeners have been preparing for the Ontario Horticultural Association’s Youth Competition and their results and any photos will be posted as soon as possible. See below for last year’s entries. Good luck!

They can enter again the next year if they plant another large garden.
